Managing Summer Interns

A few weeks ago I blogged about the recruiting support I am providing to OpenView Venture Partners as we look for a Marketing Intern to work with our Analysts at OpenView Labs who provide marketing and sales support to our portfolio companies. I recently came across a great article on Inc.com which discusses everything you need to know about properly managing a summer internship program at your expansion stage company.

After checking references for our final internship candidates last week, we are prepared to deliver an offer to our (hopeful) future Marketing Intern tomorrow. Our next step will be to work with our potential intern’s college regarding credit accreditation.
