Learn Scrum in Less Than 10 Minutes

July 15, 2010

Some people prescribe to the tenets of scrum religiously.

Every step is followed in great detail, without fail. And for good reason. Scrum has been a proven quantity in the software development realm. Its ability to consistently meet goals has earned it a loyal following.

In this video, Hamid Shojaee provides an overview of scrum’s principles in less than 10 minutes. He breaks it down, step by step, starting with the necessary players for the development team. Then, the product backlog is discussed, followed by the release backlog. A timeline is planned and the product’s release is worked into this timeline. Thereafter, sprints (quantifiable, short bursts of work) are planned. These help the project as they are attainable goals built into the product release cycle.

There are a handful of steps that follow the release timetable. All of the steps are detailed and require practice to master. Watch the video for a lightning-quick introduction to the world of scrum.
