Don’t Overlook the Importance of Karma in Business

January 20, 2011

Nothing in the world is free.

And whether or not you believe this is true is a personal preference. In the business world, few things are free. Advice, however, doesn’t cost much. But getting valuable advice for free doesn”t happen often. People have hectic schedules that limit the amount of time they can dedicate to others. But some do take the time to help others, just for the sake of it.

What inspires these kind souls? Most of the time, it’s just karma. They believe that by performing a seemingly random act of kindness, they will get it back in some way. And their minor input can be a great help for those that are in need of such advice. If a person is looking for investors for example, an expert mind may have the answer.

When you’re scaling a business, you will always need help. And for those that decide to help you, karma clearly matters. Watch the full video featuring Brad Feld for more on this topic.
