Content for Sales Teams: A Marketer’s Dictionary

November 1, 2010

Marketing is evolving – rapidly. Ten years ago, if someone used the term “Social Media” they would encounter blank stares. While “social media” represents a mainstream marketing term in 2010 (even my seven year old niece knows what it is) – many new marketing terms are emerging, and quite frankly, it can be difficult to keep track.

For expansion stage businesses that have a more junior marketing team, or a member of the management team that is leading marketing efforts for a specific period of time, here is a great powerpoint called the Dictionary of Marketing, by A. Ivanoic and P.H. Collin. For the non-marketers who are taking on some lofty branding goals and are a bit “in the dark” when bombarded with the latest terminology, this document is a great resource to keep on file.
