A performance based culture wins!!

November 19, 2009

In one of my recent posts I spoke about company cultures and my opinions of three examples.

A performance based culture wins all of the time!!

The keys to creating a performance based culture are:

  • Clearly communicate your company goals, aspirations and values, and make them stick with every employee.
  • Every employee should have clearly measurable goals and at least one goal that reflects the performance of the company as a whole.
  • Make sure that each organizational team or function has accountability to each other and are measured to the success of this accountability.

Most executive management teams want to have this culture but internal teams tend to silo into their own sub cultures. Great companies are consistent throughout.
