Working with Your Board: 10 Tips for CEOs

October 25, 2011

Whenever OpenView Partners invests growth capital in a new expansion stage portfolio company, we work hard with the CEOs and their management teams around building out the board with the right independent board members and governance processes. We also focus on how to work with the board to gain the most benefit and value for the company, CEO and the board itself.

I was doing my reading last week when I came across this guest post by Len Jordan, a venture partner with the Madrona Venture Group that I wanted to share with you. It is titled Ten Tips On How To Work With your Board Of Directors, and you can check it out over at TechCrunch.

All the points he makes are solid and something for every CEO to consider. The board is there for your benefit– but only if you proactively take advantage of it.

All the best!
