What’s the big SaaS marketing secret?

According to Peter Cohen, managing partner with SaaS Marketing Strategy Advisors, there isn’t one. SaaS marketing strategies are all about the fundamentals, advanced techniques, thought leadership and best practices. That is to say, in SaaS marketing, you get back what you put in (usually).

As Cohen describes it, just because a marketing technique worked today, doesn’t mean it will work tomorrow. Nor does it mean that if it worked for someone else,  it will also work for your company. Excelling in SaaS marketing takes a nuanced knowledge of what works — and just as importantly — what doesn’t.
