As a sales and marketing associate in the Labs, the operational consulting arm of OpenView Venture Partners, I’ve recently engaged in many conversations pertaining to inside sales productivity-enhancing tools and add-ons, and it really has me thinking: For the expansion stage technology inside sales teams out there — what tools are the essentials? What tools out there are nice-to-haves? And what tools are the not-so-nice to haves?
I’m not talking about your basic email, CRM, or phone system … of course those are essential for any modern-day sales organization. I’m talking about the add-ons — the extra stuff you’ve invested in.
With so much technology out there, it can be challenging to determine which tools are going to be the most beneficial to your sales organization, and which will become a major distraction for your lead generation reps.
For this week’s post, I thought I’d put the questions out there to OpenView’s audience — what technology is your organization investing in to enhance productivity and efficiency for your inside sales/lead generation team?
