PitchEngine: Interesting tool for an Influencer Program

January 5, 2010

As part of the OpenView Labs team, I provide sales and marketing support to the portfolio companies within growth venture capital firm, OpenView Venture Partners. Recently, I was researching tools one could use to help implement an influence marketing strategy. I stumbled across PitchEngine, a really interesting tool.

PitchEngine tackles PR with a social media approach. The platform allows users to create and distribute social media releases (SMRs), a new form of the traditional press release. Essentially, it helps “package stories with social media content to better collaborate” with influencers. Brands like Whole Foods, Zappos.com and IBM are using PitchEngine. Mashable and PR Week have already applauded the tool.

If you are not ready to implement a new tool but are interested in learning more, take a look around PitchEngine’s social network. Within its first year of inception the network has grown to nearly 2000 users. There you can learn and interact with the experts by reading their blogs.
