Looking for good reads on Influence Marketing?

December 23, 2009

Most recently, I have been shedding light on influence marketing to the expansion stage software companies within the OpenView Venture Partners portfolio. Here are a few blogs I go to for information:
Sway Blogger Barbara French seems to be the leading expert on influencer relations. She co-founded the online analyst director Tekrati and has consulted to many companies. I think her blog does an excellent job in explaining influence marketing – what it is, how to get started, and how to manage it. She introduces new tools and processes to help make your company’s influencer program be its best.

Infuse Blogger Duncan Brown is head of European Operations for Influencer50, a marketing consulting firm specializing in influencer identification and engagement. Brown has spent years in the IT space so his blog on influencer marketing is extremely relevant to the work I do at OpenView. Oh yeah and Brown, along with Nick Hayes wrote the book on Influencer Marketing, literally.

Sherrick Murdoff on Influence Marketing Blogger Sherrick Murdoff is a consultant who focuses on the social media aspect of influence marketing. His blog highlights tips on how to incorporate all types of social media from Twitter to Facebook to video to blogging and everything in between into your influencer marketing strategy. He includes real life success stories that can convince even the most skeptical non-believer.
