Content is king, but there’s a lot of it online that looks less than regal. Learn how to determine if your content is fit to rule.
American Society of Journalists and Authors president Minda Zetlin is “deeply committed to the idea that content is king.” Writing in Inc., Zetlin voices her concerns about the fact that “bad content is everywhere.” She targets Google’s algorithm as the main culprit and offers three questions as a quick quiz to see if you’re part of the problem or part of the solution. For anyone who comes out of the three questions feeling like a pretender to the throne, Zetlin recommends paying more attention to other people’s content, and sharing or linking to pieces you like. From there, you can recommit to generating quality work of your own that your audience will appreciate.
