Information Technology Growth was 13.3% in Q4!

All the indicators were there from our expansion stage portfolio and the conversations that we have had with our venture capital firm partners, but it is good to see that the great growth we have seen and are hearing about in the 4th quarter has now been backed up by the Bureau of Economic Analysis. The fourth quarter overall was 5.7% growth, but equipment and software was up 13.3%! As an expansion stage venture capitalist, it is good to see the growth coming back…time to dust off your business growth strategies.

Of course, the conservative side of me is trying not to get too excited, as the first quarter results will help to determine the level of 2010 business budgets and, therefore, how optimistic to be for 2010…
