Great Salespeople Focus on the Customer, Not the Product

Great salespeople talk about their customers’ businesses, not about their products and services.

“Average salespeople talk about their products and services,” says sales consultant Mark Hunter in his Youtube video, but “great salespeople talk about their customer’s business.”

Hunter drives home that customers don’t care about your products, and what salespeople should be focused on is their customer’s business, since that’s what buyers are thinking about. He recommends that all the comments, questions, and materials you bring to presentations and meetings revolve around your customer’s business, not around yourself.
