Creating Productive Board Meetings

July 22, 2010

July is a month for boards meeting that intend to review the companies’ performance during the second quarter, and strategy for the third quarter. In light of the ongoing/pending board meetings with our expansion stage portfolio companies, I want to share an interesting and insightful blog that I read by Ed Sim.

Link to the blog about this here.

It discusses the four types of CEO behavior that could be encountered during quarterly reviews. A lot of times during board meetings, the board members from the venture capital firms meet disagreement or blind agreement from the CEOs of the companies they gave venture funding to. Ed’s blog might help you recognize the type of CEO behavior that you are dealing with and react accordingly.
