B2B Brands can be Considered Media Companies

A recent survey has revealed surprising information about content usage in B2B marketing.

Conducted by Junta42 and MarketingProfs, along with American Business Media and the Business Marketing Association, the survey reached nearly 1,000 professionals and focused on a various facets of content in B2B marketing. Here are some of the more notable findings:

  • Nine out of 10 B2B marketers leverage content marketing as part of their marketing programs.
  • Of those surveyed, 51 percent of B2B marketers are increasing their spending in content marketing over the next 12 months.
  • Over a quarter of the total marketing and communications budget now goes toward content marketing.

Much of what the research discovered shows that content is growing in B2B marketing. Because of this, it’s almost impossible to ignore B2B marketing’s similarities with media companies.
